Today BRUFC U10s hosted Scarborough, from the get go both clubs went all out and showcased some quality rugby. The rivalry between the players was fantastic to see as they kept the hard hitting tackles and counter rucking clean, fair & really controlled. The healthy competition seen today really is what it's all about! Not only does it improve players development, it also promotes & tests our core values! Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline & Sportsmanship. Well done to all the players today, keep up with the class rugby π π π π π π

Today we welcomed Scarborough to a muddy Dukes Park. A very strong Scarborough side turned up and they certainly turned it on. Brid knew from the off that this wasnβt going to be a walk in the park. Not a lot could separate the two teams throughout most of the match. Brid took a two-try lead and held on until the third quarter, when Scarborough pulled it back to level the score. The team knew they had to up their game defensively and in attack.
For most of the fourth quarter, Brid had their backs against the wall, with Scarborough taking a late lead due to some sloppy defending. The clock was ticking and Brid were pushing for an equaliser. This time Scarborough had their backs against the wall, conceding a penalty in the final play of the match, where Noel powered through to make it all square at the final whistle.
At the end of the day, it was a hard-fought battle between two brilliant sides, and it was a fantastic game to watch.
players of the Day (This was really hard today β it could have gone to any of them.)
William Brown Brilliant throughout the whole match. Determined to win everything, even if he did give away a couple of penalties, but he made up for it with some really good jackaling.
Parentsβ Player of the Match George Brooke Absolutely ran his socks off today. Anything that moved, he tackled, and he put his body on the line all game.
Noel Cunningham Two brilliant tries today I think youβll all agree and he scored the equaliser at the death, powering through the Scarborough defence.
November Player of the Month Teddy Teddy has had a brilliant month of rugby, picking up his first Player of the Week against Beverley and having another really good game today with some strong runs. His efforts at training have not gone unnoticed either really getting stuck in and wanting to learn
