Player of the weeks 🌟🌟
It was good to be back today and get some rugby played. We manged to get two narrow pitches on the go and avoid a lot of the water and mud. Scarborough brought strong numbers and we managed to play quite a lot of games. Which was credit to the kids today as they just kept going. Again huge thank you to all the parents for helping me out and looking after the players today I really do appreciate your help and support I wouldnt be able to do it without you all. Player of the week for the blue team goes to Finn I was so impressed with his effort today, he was straight up trying to get the tags, had some great runs and quick passing. For the red team it goes to a new player who again seems to have picked up the game with ease, it goes to Joey, again he was so quick to get in Scarboroughs face and try and get them tags as well as some great runs. Well done boys πŸ‘πŸ‘ I was impressed with all the teams passing today and quick hands so well done to everyone i know it was tough on the narrow pitches πŸ‘πŸ‰

U10's

Today BRUFC U10s hosted Scarborough, from the get go both clubs went all out and showcased some quality rugby. The rivalry between the players was fantastic to see as they kept the hard hitting tackles and counter rucking clean, fair & really controlled. The healthy competition seen today really is what it's all about! Not only does it improve players development, it also promotes & tests our core values! Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline & Sportsmanship. Well done to all the players today, keep up with the class rugby πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ’™ πŸ‰ πŸ’› πŸ‰

U11's

Today we welcomed Scarborough to a muddy Dukes Park. A very strong Scarborough side turned up and they certainly turned it on. Brid knew from the off that this wasn’t going to be a walk in the park. Not a lot could separate the two teams throughout most of the match. Brid took a two-try lead and held on until the third quarter, when Scarborough pulled it back to level the score. The team knew they had to up their game defensively and in attack.

For most of the fourth quarter, Brid had their backs against the wall, with Scarborough taking a late lead due to some sloppy defending. The clock was ticking and Brid were pushing for an equaliser. This time Scarborough had their backs against the wall, conceding a penalty in the final play of the match, where Noel powered through to make it all square at the final whistle.

At the end of the day, it was a hard-fought battle between two brilliant sides, and it was a fantastic game to watch.

players of the Day (This was really hard today β€” it could have gone to any of them.)

William Brown Brilliant throughout the whole match. Determined to win everything, even if he did give away a couple of penalties, but he made up for it with some really good jackaling.

Parents’ Player of the Match George Brooke Absolutely ran his socks off today. Anything that moved, he tackled, and he put his body on the line all game.

Noel Cunningham Two brilliant tries today I think you’ll all agree and he scored the equaliser at the death, powering through the Scarborough defence.

November Player of the Month Teddy Teddy has had a brilliant month of rugby, picking up his first Player of the Week against Beverley and having another really good game today with some strong runs. His efforts at training have not gone unnoticed either really getting stuck in and wanting to learn

U13's v Scarborough

Pow
Great game today against Scarborough unfortunately we lost but really if we got a few tries in the first half we would of won we know what we have to work on and we was missing a key player in Jackson but im really pleased with how the team is looking we were dominate in the rucks and the backs are starting to play together we are really starting to look like a strong team well done boys Players of the week go to Josh Miller who has found his position at scrum half Milo Jenkinson who made my week knowing we have this lad full time great competitor Jake Roberts brilliant to have him back from taking a few years off the game strong tall and fast great asset to the team

U15s Vs Scarborough

Sorry Ambrose I had to put it on here. I haven't laughed so much for a while. Well don Corban for the fantastic effort and solution to stopping the nose bleed. 🀣 🀣
