An absolutely unbelievable performance from the u9s this week. Facing a tough Beverley side with half the number of players. So they had two teams against our one, and yet even without a large break from gameplay like the opposing team. We were dominant in all aspects of the game. With undoubtedly the best performance as a team and some great solo performances.
The whole team could’ve got player of the week . However still slightly ill but battling through to be a team player and with a brilliant performance
Jaden took the trophy home 👍🏻

A tough day at the office. Bridlington U10s hosted Beverley today who fielded two really strong sides. Beverley's defence put alot of pressure on Brid & made us work hard in possession, however we saw great improvements in our attack, players passing the ball and using their supporting players to get over the try line, a great team effort! It was an unbelievable battle between both clubs and the RFU core values shown by all the players for Bridlington & Beverley made it a really enjoyable morning of rugby for all 👏 💙🏉💛
🏉 MATCH RESULTS 🏉

A bitter pill to swallow this morning as we welcomed a very strong and well-drilled Beverley to Dukes Park. Short on numbers, we had to borrow players from Beverley—not ideal, but we made it work.
Both our teams put in one hell of an effort in their matches, with both games being pretty evenly matched.
We then had one big match. Beverley came out strong from the start with a couple of early tries. Brids’ heads went down, but they then managed to find some momentum, with Ellis sending it downtown, Eli collecting the loose ball and offloading to Noel, who broke through the Beverley defence but fell short of the line. Brid managed a couple of recycled balls, with Reggie getting over the line.
As much as the lads tried, they just couldn’t handle the Beverley attack, which kept finding holes in our defence. But the lads’ heads didn’t go down and they kept fighting until the final whistle. Couldn’t have asked them to do any more today—they played their hearts out. We put it to bed and move on to the next one.

Tackle machine today, putting his body on the line for the team.

Parents’ Player of the Day
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Eli ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Brilliant on the ball today; observation and vision were on point.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Reggie ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolute powerhouse, controlling the rucks and wanting to get involved in everything from start to finish.
⸻
January Player of the Month
⭐️⭐️⭐️ George R ⭐️⭐️⭐️
George has been given the big responsibility of scrum-half. We’ve been working on plays and encouraging him to take control of the game, and he has taken on the task and been smashing it ever since.

Post-match reflection
It’s a loss and it’s hard to take, but there were positives in that performance and plenty we can build on. The effort and commitment shown on the pitch can’t be questioned.
Special mention to Jenson, who showed real courage and commitment, giving everything for the team and unfortunately getting hurt in the process. That attitude sets the standard — full respect and wishing him a speedy recovery.
Big shout to Dan for Man of the Match. Outstanding work rate — dominant tackling, strong clean-outs at the rucks, and exactly the right mindset: no complaining, just getting on with the game. Very well deserved.
There were some strong moments, particularly in our ruck work, mauling, and tackling. We also created some good breaks but didn’t capitalise on them, and that’s an area we need to be more clinical with.
Tough lesson, but a valuable one. We learn, we stay connected, and we go again.

Although the ground was wet it wasn’t raining for once. The team had two returning players from injury and after a good training session seemed confident. Beverley are a strong team and got off to a fast start scoring twice before our boys got going. Dans voice booming out got the team rallied and we began to compete. Some excellent rugby followed with the ebb and flow of a good game. Strong play from the forwards with some good runs from the backs. The final score was Beverly 40 to Bridlington 25 which is a significant improvement against a side that is in the Yorkshire Cup group 3 final. A brilliant performance team - well done!
Players of the match today - Harlan, Milo and a well deserved Harry.

What a fantastic match we all had at Beverly. You all seemed to enjoy have a mixed game with them. You all played the positions that you should have been playing which gives you all a feel of what it's like when you should come together to play.
Well done to all of you and Man of The Match went to Ambrose.🏉🥇
